Biography
Sungwon Hwang is a law clerk at Pearlman & Miranda. She is currently pursuing her J.D. at Rutgers Law School.
Before transitioning to law, she was a professor at Rutgers University where she taught courses in woodwinds pedagogy, chamber music, and musicianship. She worked closely with both undergraduate and graduate students, guiding their technical and artistic development through individualized instruction, ensemble coaching, and curriculum design. Alongside her academic career, she maintained a robust international presence as a clarinetist, performing at esteemed venues across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. She also presented numerous masterclasses for students and professionals, sharing her pedagogical insights and performance experience while mentoring emerging artists in diverse musical communities. She was also regularly invited to adjudicate regional and national music competitions, offering thoughtful evaluations and constructive feedback to musicians at various stages of their careers.
